Rules for making an appointment / consultation / examination

  1. General Provisions
    1. The medical units of the IEM Federal State Budgetary Institution provide outpatient, consultative, diagnostic and inpatient, including high-tech, medical care under compulsory health insurance (MHI), voluntary medical insurance (VHI) programs; under direct contracts with enterprises, institutions and organizations; paid under contracts for the provision of medical services to individuals.
    2. In the case of citizens applying for emergency indications and the impossibility of providing appropriate medical care at the current time by the medical units of the FSBSI ‘IEM’, the patient is sent to provide the necessary medical care to the appropriate medical institution.
    3. You can make an appointment both with a specialist (in the case when the diagnosis is known or the nature of the disease is obvious), and with a general practitioner for a preliminary diagnosis and a comprehensive examination when you first contact the medical units of the FSBSI ‘IEM’.
    4. The patient selects the time of appointment with the medical registrar in accordance with the appointment schedule and taking into account the availability of free time in the appointment schedule.
    5. In the case of absence of a doctor the medical register informs the patient about this and provides the opportunity to choose the time for an appointment with the replacement doctor on the desired date and / or time.
  2. Appointment for an initial appointment / consultation / examination to the Medical Scientific Center of the FSBSI ‘IEM’
    1. Medical Research Center of the FSBSI of  ‘IEM’ provides medical and specialized medical care at the address: 5, Universitetskaya Embankment, St. Petersburg, 199034.
    2. The working hours of the outpatient department of the Medical Research Center of the FSBSI ‘IEM’ are:
      Monday-Friday from 8.30 to 21.00 according to the working schedule of doctors; Saturday, Sunday – days off.
    3. The opening hours of the dental department of the Medical Research Center of of the FSBSI ‘IEM’ are:
      Monday-Friday from 9.00 to 21.00 according to the working schedule of doctors; Saturday, Sunday – days off.
    4. You can appoint for an initial attendance / consultation / examination with the doctors of the FSBSI ‘IEM’ as follows:

    5.     6. Appointments with doctors of the FSBSI ‘IEM’ for medical services for the compulsory medical insurance policy are made only by telephone numbers of the registry, or when a patient personally contacts the registry of the the FSBSI ‘IEM’.
  3. Appointment for an initial attendance / consultation / examination to the Clinic of the FSBSI ‘IEM’
    1. Clinic of the FSBSI ‘IEM’ provides medical and specialized, including high-tech, medical care in inpatient and outpatient settings at the address: 13, Maly Prospect of Petrogradsky Side, St. Petersburg, 197198.
    2. The working hours of the Clinic of the FSBSI ‘IEM’ are around the clock for inpatients. Outpatient visits are available Monday-Friday from 9.00 to 16.00 in consultation with the doctor.
    3. You can appoint for an initial attendance/ consultation / examination with the doctors of the Clinic of the FSBSI ‘IEM’ as follows:

      On weekdays from 9.00 to 16.00;

  4. Information that the patient must inform the medical registrar when making an appointment / consultation / examination by phone
    1. Upon receipt of services in cash:
      Surname, name, patronymic, date of birth, address of registration, contact phone.
    2. When receiving services under the compulsory medical insurance policy:
      Surname, name, patronymic, date of birth, address of registration, contact phone number, OMS policy data.
    3. When receiving services under the VHI policy:
      Surname, name, patronymic, date of birth, registration address, contact phone number, VHI policy data, name of insurance company.
  5. Appearance for an initial appointment / consultation / examination
    1. On the day of the first application for consultation (examination), it is necessary to come to the medical institution 15 minutes before the appointed time for drawing up a medical card.
    2. To draw up a medical record, the patient should provide the following documents to the medical registrar:
      upon receipt of medical services under the compulsory medical insurance policy: passport, compulsory medical insurance policy, SNILS, referral to a doctor for consultation at the basic outpatient institution (indicated in the Appendix to the compulsory medical insurance policy);
      upon receipt of medical services under the VHI policy: passport, VHI policy;
      upon receipt of medical services in cash: passport.
    3. If the patient is more than 5 minutes late from the appointed time, the reception staff and doctors have the right to refuse the patient scheduled appointments (consultations, treatment and diagnostic procedures, etc.) and postpone the provision of medical services to the late patient for another time.
      IT IS IMPORTANT:
      The patient’s medical record is the property of the FSBSI ‘IEM’, is stored in the medical departments of the FSBSI ‘IEM’ and is not issued to patients. It is not allowed to take out an outpatient card from the medical units of the ‘IEM’ and  without the consent of the ‘IEM’ Administration. Hand-out of a medical record is carried out with the permission of the head physician of the Clinic of the Federal State Budgetary Institution of Higher Medical Sciences ‘IEM’ or the head of the Medical Research Center of the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution ‘IEM’ on the basis of a written application from the patient after registration in a special journal. A medical card is issued under a personal signature, personally in the hands of the patient. The issuance of a medical card to relatives is prohibited.
  6. Documents issued according to the results of admission / consultation / examination
    1. At the end of the appointment / consultation / examination, the patient receives the following documents in his hands:
      Doctor’s opinion (if necessary).
      The results of diagnostic studies with decoding.
      The doctor’s recommendations for further treatment or maintenance of health, containing a scheme for medical outpatient treatment.
      In case of incapacity for work, a temporary disability certificate (sick leave) is issued, which is issued in the prescribed manner.
      Referral to inpatient treatment (if necessary).
      Set of payment documents (in the provision of paid medical services).
